AFTERNOON TEA AT THE ROSE GARDEN TEA ROOM
@ The Huntington (Library)
This past week I had the opportunity to visit The Huntington in San Marino, CA.  The property contains the collections of Henry Edwards Huntington.  During his lifetime he amassed one of the finest research libraries in the world (i.e. The Gutenbery Bible & Chaucer's Canterbury Tales), assembled a magnificent art collection (including Blue Boy and Breakfast in Bed by Mary Cassatt), and established an array of botanical gardens.  The library was what amazed me the most with works by Darwin, Plato, Milton, Emerson, Benjamin Franklin...and the list goes on and on.  After touring all the collections, we stopped for afternoon tea at the Rose Garden Tea Room.  I enjoyed a pot of their Signature Blend of black tea, jasmine, fruit, vanilla, and bergamot. The English Afternoon Tea is scrumptious with tea sandwiches, scones and tea sweets.  If you are in the area, I would highly recommend stopping for a visit.  Plan to spend a few hours exploring all of the treasures and enjoying a spot of tea.
