Creating Tea Scrubs at Chantilly Tea Spa Class

Creating Tea Scrubs at Chantilly Tea Spa Class

This past weekend, we held our Spa Class.  We added loose-leaf tea leaves into homemade facial scrubs, milk & salt baths, and body scrubs.  Facial scrubs are made of soap and dried botanicals (loose-leaf tea, herbs, etc.) and cleanse, stimulate and soothe the skin.  Milk/Salt baths are excellent for soothing inflammations and sore muscles.  Body scrubs are exfoliating, moisturizing, and uplifting and when paired with tea are also packed with antioxidants, energizing, and beautifully scented.
The favorite milk bath recipe of the weekend was a Lemon Milk Bath using Lemon Vanilla pu'erh tea leaves...the lemon scent was divine.  Some of my favorite scrubs were the Rose Avocado Scrub with avocado oil and Rose Scented tea leaves, the Vanilla Cinnamon Orange Scrub, and the Lavender Sugar Scrub with Earl Grey Lavender tea leaves.  Although recipes were provided, participants enjoyed creating their own special scrubs using a variety of teas.  Everyone especially enjoyed using the Rose Scented a black tea with dried rose petals.
After the class portion, everyone enjoyed a 2-course afternoon tea and conversation.
All in all, a delightful way to spend a weekend.
